If you’re playing along at home, try running this command in each repo and comparing the output: git cat-file -p But don’t worry, the file changes have been merged so none of the content is lost. It’s worth noting that the commits B and D won’t be reachable from the master branch, and if you delete the topic branch, they’ll be orphaned. If you were to compare the contents of F and F’ you would see that they in fact contain the exact same contents – only the metadata is different. However, the contents of F’ will contain the contents from both master and topic. At a glance, this doesn’t look like a merge at all. There is a new commit that is created, F’ but it only has one parent: E from master. Now, let’s go to the second repo, and instead, I’ll perform a squash merge. This is the same graph that you would expect if you perform a normal pull request merge. That results in a graph that looks like this:Īs expected, the new merge commit F is created, and it has two parents: E from master, and D from topic. In the first repo, I’ll perform a normal merge of of topic into master. Now, let’s suppose I created two copies of this repo. So, let’s suppose I had a repo with a master branch and a topic branch, with a graph that looked like this: When it comes to merging and history graphs, I think illustrations are really helpful. Interactive rebasing and force pushing is often the way to clean up these intermediate commits, but even then a new merge commit is created if you’re using pull requests and merging on the server. When working with topic branches, and especially when responding to code review feedback, a small change can easily grow to span multiple commits. Simply put, a squash merge produces a cleaner history. The result is a single commit on the target branch with all of the changes from a normal merge. The files are merged exactly as they would be in a normal merge, but the commit metadata is changed to show only one of the parent commits. What is squash merge?Ī squash merge is a merge option in Git that will produce a merge commit with only one parent. Are you the type of developer that loves to keep your repos neat and tidy? Are you a fan of interactive rebase and fixing up your commits until they’re just right? Do you wish you had an alternative to –no-ff merges when completing your pull request? In the March 3rd release of Visual Studio Team Services, a new option was added to the PR merge process to allow the topic branch changes to be squash merged, greatly simplifying target branch history.

This means that all numbers can now be displayed so the game won't default to "?!?!" if you reach too high of a number. Numbers greater than or equal to 1 quadrillion are now expressed using scientific notation. Note that they can still acquire this spell in battle through other effects. Enemies can no longer spawn with the "Saving Grace" spell. Cabalist's "Flow of Magic" perk has been revamped because it was simply an inferior version of this specialization's "Prism" perk. None of the False Gods are immune to Blighted anymore, and False God self-healing from their innate traits no longer counts as healing effects. The intent of this change is to shorten these fights under normal circumstances, make them a bit more predictable, and prevent players from feeling like they need to fish for certain realm properties to defeat Jotun in a reasonable amount of time. The Lister and Jotun fights no longer use battle fatigue as their metric for victory, and are instead based on the number of turns creatures have taken in battle (24 total turns for Lister, 36 total turns for Jotun). Most Exotic creatures' traits and backer traits are now more powerful. Most Arsenal and Booze spells have been changed/buffed to be more useful. You can now rename your Nether Stones at the Blacksmith using the new "Etch" function. You can sort Nether Stones by Locked and Unlocked in all interfaces. Note for those last two: prior to this patch, many traits were not recorded in your Codex (False Gods, God Battles, etc), so you'll need to encounter these traits in battles before you'll see them appear on the list. The following new macro conditions have been added to the Macro Editor: Resurrection Count, Death Count, Is Not At Top of Timeline, Is Not At Bottom of Timeline, Has Trait, and Doesn't Have Trait. This multiplies your rewards by the number of tickets spent, and also counts as playing that many times for the sake of Prophecies and Achievements. You can now choose to consume 1, 2, or 3 tickets at the Gambling Dwarves. You can see which buff is active by interacting with the new Calendar decoration in your castle (found in the Utilities/NPC category). Each week, a new buff will activate that either increases your Card Drop Rate, Skin Drop Rate, Nether Stone Drop Rate, or Bonus Loot. Many of these work much differently than normal minions (and most are exclusive to the new Demonologist specialization), so check out the Codex for more information. 11 minions have been added to the game. These were added to extend support for under-utilized debuffs such as Poison and Cursed. Additional content related to the new specializations has been added: 120 achievements, 30 costumes, 10 skins, new anointments, and more. These specializations' projects are only available after you unlock the Gate of the Gods. However, if you're able to Ascend them, you'll earn a special reward. Instead of providing you with bonuses, these specializations make you significantly weaker. 2 Challenge Specializations have been added to the game: Pariah and Deprived. 8 specializations have been added to the game: Toxicologist, Engineer, Shadowbringer, Demonologist, Mime, Graveborn, Gladiator, and Brewmaster. Here are the patch notes in case you missed them in my last post: On top of that, we've added several of quality-of-life improvements to the game as a result of your feedback. This update includes 10 new specializations, along with many new spells, minions, achievements, costumes, skins, anointments, and much more. Patch 1.1.1 is now available on all platforms! It did so on the backs of franchise players like Pedro Martinez, Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia and Bogaerts. This is a big market team with more World Series titles this millennium than any other in the sport. Work hard, play hard, sign a big contract with another team. The prospects know not to get attached to the organization for the same reason. The fans can’t get attached to any one player because he’ll be gone once he hits 30. The Sox become a team that turns its roster over every few years for the sake of cost efficiency. Said Kennedy: “You’ve got Xander Bogaerts and Raffy Devers, two of the most important people in the history of this organization, so I hope we can find a way to not only bring them back, or keep them here and extend them, but have a team around them that is built for success in October. “We want him here on a deal that we’re going to look back on and say this is great for everybody.” “We want to keep him here for a long time,” chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom said Thursday. Bogaerts obliged, then put together arguably and statistically his best defensive season of his career.Īsked how long the 30-year-old shortstop could stay at his position before he needs to be moved off of it, Cora said, “The way he trains, the way he moves, the way he goes about his business in the offseason, probably as long as he can handle it.”īogaerts could follow in the footsteps of his idol, Derek Jeter, who inspired him to wear No. The coaching staff made a request that Bogaerts work on first-step quickness to increase his range at shortstop before the 2022 season. His manager, Alex Cora, is among his biggest believers. Then the Sox traded Mookie Betts and low-balled Bogaerts every step of the way into free agency. He signed that team-friendly deal because he wanted long-term stability with the organization he loved. And the team thought there was a chance he’d stay for $60 million over the next three years?īogaerts made his stance clear after Wednesday’s series finale, when he said he’s gotten a lot smarter as he’s gotten older. A number of indoor environmental asthma triggers are biologic pollutants. Consequently, allergens and irritants from the indoor environment may play a significant role in triggering asthma episodes. population, on the average, spends as much as 90% of its time indoors. Additionally, it is the leading cause of school absenteeism-14 million school days lost each year-from chronic illness. The impact on neighborhoods, school systems, and health care facilities from asthma is severe because one-third of all pediatric emergency room visits are due to asthma, and it is the fourth most prominent cause of physician office visits. Low-income African-Americans and certain Hispanic populations suffer disproportionately, with urban inner cities having particularly severe problems. Asthma is more common in children than in adults, with nearly 1 of every 13 school-age children having asthma. Some of the known triggers of intrinsic asthma are infections, such as cold and flu viruses, exercise and cold air, industrial and occupational pollutants, food additives and preservatives, drugs such as aspirin, and emotional stress. Intrinsic asthma usually starts in adulthood without a strong family history of asthma. There is no antibody hypersensitivity in intrinsic asthma. Intrinsic asthma has a known cause, but the connection between the cause and the symptoms is not clearly understood. Individuals with extrinsic asthma produce an excess amount of antibodies when exposed to triggers. Extrinsic asthma has a known cause, such as allergies to dust mites, various pollens, grass or weeds, or pet danders. Most people with asthma do not fall neatly into either type, but somewhere in between, displaying characteristics of both classifications. Asthma can be broken down into two groups based on the causes of an attack: extrinsic (allergic) and intrinsic (nonallergic). Asthma is a chronic disease of the airways that causes recurrent and distressing episodes of wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing. Allergic reactions are the result of repeated exposure and immunologic sensitization to particular biologic allergens.Īlthough pollen allergies can be bothersome, asthmatic responses to pollutants can be life threatening. Influenza virus transmission, although vaccines have been developed, still remains of concern in crowded indoor conditions and can be affected by ventilation levels in the home.Ĭommon pollutants, such as pollen, originate from plants and can elicit symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, shortness of breath, dizziness, lethargy, fever, and digestive problems. However, the first two are now preventable with vaccines. Some biologic pollutants, such as measles, chickenpox, and influenza are transmitted through the air. These biologic pollutants can be related to some serious health effects. Indoor pollutants can be placed into two groups, biologic and chemical.īiologic pollutants include bacteria, molds, viruses, animal dander, cat saliva, dust mites, cockroaches, and pollen. In addition, high temperature and humidity levels can increase the concentration of some pollutants. Air pollutant levels in the home increase if not enough outdoor air is brought in to dilute emissions from indoor sources and to carry indoor air pollutants out of the home. Numerous forms of indoor air pollution are possible in the modern home. Such groups include the young, the elderly, and the chronically ill, especially those suffering from respiratory or cardiovascular disease. In addition, people exposed to indoor air pollutants for the longest periods are often those most susceptible to their effects. Thus, for many people, the risks to health from exposure to indoor air pollution may be greater than risks from outdoor pollution. Other research indicates that people spend approximately 90% of their time indoors. In the last several years, a growing body of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities. Indoor air pollution and exposure to hazardous substances in the home are risks we can do something about. Some are risks we might decide to avoid if we had the opportunity to make informed choices. Some we choose to accept because to do otherwise would restrict our ability to lead our lives the way we want. Driving in cars, flying in airplanes, engaging in recreational activities, and being exposed to environmental pollutants all pose varying degrees of risk. We all face a variety of risks to our health as we go about our day-to-day lives. “Walking into a modern building can sometimes be compared to placing your head inside a plastic bag that is filled with toxic fumes.” Download Adobe Acrobat version of the manual Cdc-pdf NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 2022 Season Updates New and Updated Spotter Calls for Fuel Usage, Tire Compound Rules, and pit box calls New and Updated Multiple Tire Compound Rules There should be something for everyone, welcome to iRacing 2022 Season 2! I try to comment as much as possible, but I likely left gaps that may require explanation if any of you spend time trying to understand it. This is the part on which I spent most of my time when I was developing this project. The range is more than sufficient (50+ft). Note: Again, you may connect an antenna to the transmitter as needed, but I found I did not need to. This little chip was surprisingly sensitive and faithfully detects signals out to at least 50ft from where it was sitting and through at least two walls. Note: You may connected an antenna as needed, but I found I didn't need to. If you decide to choose different pin numbers than the ones I indicate below, have no fear! When you download the source code, simply modify the pin numbers as needed in the RxTx.py file. You may have a different configuration if you purchased different transmitter/receiver hardware than I indicated in the introduction. The following are the connections I made. To do so, open the terminal on your Pi and type pinout. You will want to religiously reference the pinout diagram of the GPIO pins. You will be connecting the pins of the transmitter and the receiver to the GPIO pins of your Pi. Instructions for modifying settings can be found here.Īt this point, it is time to make all of the physical connections you will need to do in preparation for setting up the source code for this project. There are also settings you will need to adjust on your Pi. For the GUI option, you will want to install VNC Viewer onto the computer you plan to be working on. PuTTY will work, but I prefer to have a GUI (graphical user interface), which makes it seem like you're directly on the Pi. If you too prefer this option, you need to install some sort of environment to SSH into the Pi. I prefer to develop on my Raspberry Pi from the comfort of my desktop computer. In the event you don't have pip installed on your Pi, you will need to type sudo apt-get install python3-pip. From the Pi command line, type sudo pip3 install flask. Flask allows us to create our web server. Once you have confirmed this, you need to install flask onto your Pi. Exit the terminal by closing out or typing exit(). If you have Python 3, you should see the python terminal open. To do this, type python3 into the command line. If you plan to use an existing Pi (which you can totally do), all you need to is to make sure you have Python 3 on your Pi, since that is what all of the source code I provide is written in. Start off by installing the latest version of Raspbian on your new Raspberry Pi. This is a project I've dreamed of completing for years, and although there is still room for additions, the project described as follows is a functional system. A web front-end to this project is ideal since any web-connected device on your network can be used as your remote. The outlets come with remotes that can turn on/off outlets, but that's no fun! We will instead use a web server running on the raspberry pi that allows anyone connected to the network to turn on or off certain outlets. This project uses radio frequency controlled outlets at 433MHz coupled with an RF transmitter connected to your raspberry pi. There's quite a bit going on in this, so if you have questions on any step, please leave a comment so I can update the Instructable with the needed details. For all of you code monkeys out there, feel free to dig around in the code, and scrutinize me in the comments! I'm always looking to improve. I will work to keep this as high level as possible and provide code to make this all work. I chose to write this project when I saw the Sensors contest, and since this project involves using a sensor to read codes off of the remote provided with the outlets you purchase, I thought this project would be the perfect fit. In this Instructable, I will demonstrate to you how to create a web interface to control outlets in your home using a Raspberry Pi. When Rico is shown evidence that his late father was working with The Black Hand, he plunges into the South American nation of Solís, the homeland of the Black Hand in search of answers. The Black Hand served as a mercenary group to dictators Salvador Mendoza of Just Cause and Sebastiano Di Ravello in Just Cause 3. Rico Rodríguez takes on the Black Hand, the world's most powerful private army run by Gabriela Morales, a newly introduced character. The game is set in a fictional South American country called Solís, which is home to extreme weather conditions. Rico can participate in these battles at any time. The game includes a frontline system in which the rebel forces fight against the Black Hand army at the borders of their territories. During combat, he may be assisted by allies who are controlled by artificial intelligence. Players can call for supply drop any time in the game. Each weapon also has an alternate firing mode. The game features a large variety of vehicles and firearms, including exotic weapons like the Wind Gun and the Lightning Gun. The game also features a weather system and environmental hazards such as tornados and thunderstorms. A new wind and particle system was introduced, and it affects Rico's traversal with his wingsuit. Rico can travel the game's world using his wingsuit and grappling hook, whose functions are expanded to include the ability to attach hot air balloons and rocket boosters on objects. The game takes place in the fictional nation of Solís, a large open world consisting of different biomes including snowy mountains and deserts. The player assumes the role of series protagonist Rico Rodríguez. Just Cause 4 is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective. In this gameplay screenshot, Rico is driving towards a tornado. When I finished Ootek picked up a bundle of my traps and walked ofT with them into the Barrens. Ootek, sensing my indignation, listened with grave concentration as I tried to explain about museums, and science, and other inexplicable phenomena of the white man’s way of life. Calling Ootek to the cabin I went to great lengths to explain why I wanted mice, not wolves. When Ohoto explained all this I was annoyed I felt I was being treated as a somewhat backward child. Ootek hoped that when I saw the big wolf’s track beside the frail little trap I would get the point without any words being spoken. Being my song-cousin he felt it was his duty to show me the futility of my trapping methods but in such a manner that I would feel neither resentful nor foolish. So it seemed to Ootek that I was just incredibly naïve in the arts of a trapper. And not even in his most luridĭreams had he thought that white men put value on lemmings and mice, or that I would deliberately try to catch these little beasts. Ootek had looked at my mousetraps and it had been painfully obvious to him that I was not going to catch any foxes or wolves. But to me it was a prime example of the tremendous delicacy the Eskimo can show when he feels called upon to give advice to a white man who, poor fellow, has more wealth than sense. It was a shining example of the “oblique mind of the Eskimo,” if you want to put it that way. at last he told me what I wanted to know. He too seemed to have some difficulty in finding his tongue, but. When Ohoto came in I showed him Ootek’s strange trophy and asked him to explain its significance. As a song-cousin I was a counterpart of each man who had adopted me. If I wished I might have shared all things that Ootek and Ohoto possessed. In a short initiation ceremony some time before, both Ootek and Ohoto had made me their songcousin, a difficult relationship to define, but one that is only extended on the most complete and comprehensive basis of friendship. Later on Ohoto, always the most, direct and unabashed of the Ihalmiut men, paid me a call. When I tried being stern he began to stutter and at last he turned and fled to his tent. But Ootek became dreadfully embarrassed and refused to open his mouth. Somewhat taken aback I turned to Ootek and asked him what this odd combination was supposed to mean. The bundle contained a single mousetrap lying on a large piece of chocolate-colored peat which bore the clear and unmistakable imprint of a wolf’s foot. comment and watched intently as I unrolled it. He came to life suddenly, pulled open his sack and after delving into its murky depths for a moment or two produced a bundle carefully wrapped in moss. last I enquired whether anything had been caught in his share of He seemed preoccupied, so I did not press the question.Īt the cabin I unpacked half a dozen mice and lemmings from my specimen bag and laid them out on the table while Ootek watched me with a puzzled frown on his face. He carried his skin packsack and as he jog-trotted across the tundra he held the bag well away from his side as if it contained something far too precious to be subjected to bumps and jiggles.Ĭurious, I asked what he had found, but for once he was taciturn, refusing to answer except with muffled grunts. An hour later, when I had finished my part and was heading back for the cabin, he rejoined me. One day I casually asked Ootek, an Ihalmiut friend, to check some of the traps while I looked at the rest. My collecting equipment consisted of three dozen ordinary mousetraps, widely dispersed and marked with little flags of red cloth so they could be found again. In June of 1948 I spent, some time amassing a collection of the small mammals that live in the mosses and lichens of the plains. A symmetrical wall arrangement may comprise a grid of four to six pieces or, for an odd number of works, a horizontal row. No matter your preference, whether you favor Post-Impressionist paintings, animal paintings, Surrealism, Pop art or another movement or specific period, arranging art on a blank wall allows you to evoke emotions in a room while also showing off your tastes and interests. Today, creating a wall of art is a wonderful way to enhance your space, showcase beautiful pieces and tie an interior design together. Later, artists in Greece, Rome and elsewhere created vast wall paintings to decorate stately homes, churches and tombs. In the Netherlands, landscapes were a major theme for painters as early as the 1500s. Portrait paintings and drawings, which, along with sculpture, were how someone’s appearance was recorded prior to the advent of photography, are at least as old as Ancient Egypt. Like every other work of art, paintings - whether they are contemporary creations or works that were made during the 19th century - can often help us clearly see and understand the world around us in a meaningful and interesting way.Ĭave walls were the canvases for what were arguably the world’s first landscape paintings, which depict natural scenery through art. When we look at paintings, particularly those that originated in the past, we learn about history, other cultures and countries of the world. To bring abstract, landscape and still-life paintings into your home is to celebrate and share in the long tradition of this discipline. Painting is an art form that has spanned innumerable cultures, with artists using the medium to tell stories, explore and communicate ideas and express themselves.
